    Vesper Collective stands behind every piece we make. Our jewellery is built from 316L surgical-grade stainless steel and finished with PVD plating designed for daily wear. This page sets out exactly what's covered, what's not, and how to make a claim if something goes wrong.

    What's Covered — Lifetime Structural Warranty

    The 316L stainless steel core of every Vesper piece is covered by a lifetime structural warranty against:

    • Spontaneous breakage of chains, links, or clasps under normal wear
    • Manufacturing defects in the steel structure (faulty soldering, defective clasp mechanism, weak link)
    • Loss of structural integrity not caused by misuse

    "Lifetime" means the lifetime of the original purchaser, with valid proof of purchase from Vesper Collective.

    What's Covered — PVD Plating (12 Months)

    The PVD gold or silver plating finish is covered for 12 months from purchase date against:

    • Premature peeling of the plating in normal wear conditions
    • Manufacturing defects in the plating layer

    Normal gradual fade of the PVD finish over years of daily wear is considered fair wear and tear and is not covered.

    What's NOT Covered

    The warranty does not cover damage caused by:

    • Accidental damage (drops, crushing, snagging, loss)
    • Modification or repair by third parties
    • Abnormal use including contact sports, prolonged exposure to concentrated chlorine, bleach, or harsh chemical cleaning products
    • Direct contact with strong perfumes, aftershaves, or hair products sprayed onto the piece
    • Loss of decorative stones where applicable, if caused by impact or misuse
    • Surface scratches caused by contact with other jewellery or hard surfaces
    • Natural colour variation due to environmental oxidation over time
    • Damage caused by storage outside the cloth pouch provided

    Earrings — Important Exception

    Earrings are not included in our lifetime warranty. Due to the nature of plated jewellery, the finish on earrings may naturally show signs of wear over time depending on use and care.

    To help preserve the finish, we recommend avoiding contact with water, perfume, sweat, chemicals and cleaning products.

    If your earrings arrive faulty or damaged, please contact us on arrival at support@vesper-collective.com and we will arrange a replacement.

    Please note: for hygiene reasons, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges on earrings unless the item arrives faulty or damaged.

    How to Make a Claim

    To submit a warranty claim, email support@vesper-collective.com with the following:

    • Your order number
    • Clear photographs of the defect
    • Brief description of when and how the issue appeared

    We respond within 48 working hours. If your claim is approved, we offer one of the following at our discretion:

    • Replacement of the same piece if available
    • Equivalent store credit
    • Full refund of the original purchase price

    Statutory Rights

    This warranty is offered in addition to your statutory consumer rights and does not affect them. UK customers retain all rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. EU customers retain all rights under EU consumer protection law.

    Limitations

    The warranty:

    • Applies only to the original purchaser with proof of purchase from Vesper Collective
    • Is non-transferable between owners
    • Does not cover return shipping costs for warranty claims unless agreed otherwise
    • May be refused if multiple suspicious claims are filed from the same account
    • Can be refused if there is evidence of attempted fraud

    Vesper Collective reserves the right to inspect any item submitted under warranty before approving a claim.
